Mason Jar Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Prepare Mason Jar:

  1. Ensure your mason jar is clean and dry, with the lid securely attached.

Combine Ingredients:

  1. In the mason jar, combine the chilled heavy whipping cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Secure the lid tightly.

Shake, Shake, Shake:

  1. Shake the mason jar vigorously for about 5-7 minutes, until the mixture thickens and nearly doubles in volume. Aim for a creamy and smooth consistency.

Freeze:

  1. Place the mason jar in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.

Serve:

  1. When ready to serve, remove the mason jar from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly. Scoop the homemade ice cream into bowls or cones, and enjoy!
